Company Profile
In 1988, Steven Ninh Than started practicing Real Estate. Prior to that, he worked for 7 years in the electronics field and was a part of a product engineer group for Siliconix Inc. and IXYS Corp. He also worked for other real estate offices, such as ERA West Coast Properties, ERA Summit Realty, ERA Landess, and Selection Realty.
In April 1997, Steven and a few other partners opened their first office called ST Properties (where ST stood for Steven Than). The office is located in Santa Clara near the San Jose International Airport. Over the years, through dedication and hard work, Steven bought out the other shares and became the sole owner. By 1999, ST Properties changed its name to ST Real Estate and Financial Service and became incorporated. This changed allowed the company to work on both the real estate and the loan aspect of the industry.
In 2000, Steven decided to relocate the office to the Grand Century Mall on Story Road. A couple of factors were key to his decision. One reason was because the existing office had became too small due to growing customer demands and increased in agents joining the office. Another reason was because the brand new Grand Century Mall allowed for a customized design. It provided a bigger and more professional looking office. The Mall was located in a prime location, allowing easier access to customers and clients. With the new Grand Century Mall becoming more popular, hundreds of tourists and shoppers visit the Mall resulting in increased business for the office every week.
Another competitive advantage is that ST Real Estate and Financial Services Inc. is the only real estate company allowed in the mall. Unlike other real estate offices, ST is required to be open during Mall hours, which are 9am to 9pm, seven days a week. This also means ST is open on Holidays to provide more services and convenience for the customer. With many great benefits from the relocation, ST has rapidly grown from 5 agents to more than 80 agents. Due to the tremendous success, ST was able to open a second office in early February of 2003. The second office is aimed at providing service for the large Hispanic community. This office is located in the Grewal Plaza at the corner of McLaughlin and E. William St. In March of 2004, ST added a whole new lending division. It opened the ST Direct Lending office right across from ST Real Estate. This office is primarily used for loans. Furthermore, with the direct lending, ST is able to provide faster services through processes such as drawing docs, signings, and funding.
Recently ST celebrated its fifth year at Grand Century Mall. Looking back at the previous year, the company had grossed in more than $135.71 million in homes sale. In addition, ST had also provided more than $136.77 millions in loans. That is a total gross of more than $272.48 million. Comparing to the first year at Grand Century Mall, the total gross income has increased over 10 times.
ST Real Estate and Financial Service inc. have been so successful in such a short period of time is due to its outstanding services. ST Real Estate has helped many customers achieving home ownership dreams. At ST, we believe that real estate is much more than just listing and selling homes. We believe that a home reflects people's hopes and dreams, their lifestyle, and how they participate in and contribute to their community. A person's home defines who they are. Our mission has always been helping as many people as we can to achieve their dreams and providing them with greater services. We will do whatever we can, above and beyond the standards set by the Realtor association to meet our customer's need and care.
